Comments from Former Students

Through the years, McLeod Consulting Services continues to help students with their college choices, keeping in touch with many clients as they graduate and move on with their careers.

My main interest is stage directing, and I produced two musicals that raised money for my school. I was interested in finding a college in the States where I could concentrate on my love of the theatre. Thanks to Ms. McLeod, I found a program and college I am enjoying immensely. And I'm near New York City.
(Adrienne Willis - currently attending Sarah Lawrence)

I had a few ideas about college in advance. When I had my interview with Ms. McLeod, she worked out a travel plan for visiting colleges that matched my interests and talents. She notified her contacts that I was coming, and they paid special attention to me during my on-campus interviews. My visit to the colleges helped me settle upon my first choice. After being very impressed by the beautiful campus, friendly atmosphere, and top ranking, I applied and was accepted for early decision at a college she had recommended.
(Pablo Montagnes, currently attending Swarthmore)

My parents and I had no idea which college I should go to - I just knew I wanted a good one. Ms. McLeod reviewed my strengths, made suggestions and helped me focus on what the U.S. schools were looking for. She arranged my visits and made me feel that I could do anything. At Smith, I took the year-abroad program in Geneva. I am now an attorney with an international firm often doing business in French.
(Tricia Purks-Hoffler - BA, Smith; JD, Georgetown)

I chose Michigan over Harvard because I was offered a better financial package. I got my degree in computer science - with a minor in French through the Liberal Arts school. Before graduating, I received seven lucrative offers and now work in Silicon Valley.
(Jeremy Bennett - B.Sc., Michigan, '95)

Finding the right college was no easy task for me. Ms. McLeod gave me a lot of personal attention and helped me get accepted at the college I wanted. I loved it and was very successful. I am now CEO and president of Loc Pipe Inc.
(Susan Tanenbaum - BA, Hampshire College)

I had an interview with Ms. McLeod last fall. I soon received a long letter that my parents and I have used as a guide in choosing my colleges. Since then, I have had several telephone conversations with Ms. McLeod reviewing my impressions and plan of action. Ms. McLeod has given me help with my essays, and she is always interested in my concerns. I feel she has a true sense of me as a person and an appreciation of what I am hoping for at university. Though I likely won't make it to the Ivy League, I am very excited about my choices. Best of all, the acceptances are starting to roll in.
(Aaron Trager - expecting a bright future)
